Vehicle description
This has been my personal vehicle since I purchased it used in 2008 from Kelly Nissan on Route 1. I bought the car with ~20k miles on it and it now has 151k. Has a clean Carfax. Meticulously maintained, I love this car and will be sad to see it go. However, I needed a pickup truck, and recently purchased a 2009 Ridgeline (with 163k miles!) which will now be my primary vehicle. If I did not need a truck, I would be keeping the Civic. This car has been the lowest cost of ownership vehicle I have ever owned, and the most reliable by far. This is a super economical and cool looking car that would be perfect for a new driver or someone just looking for an extremely low cost to operate and reliable vehicle for commuting.
This is an EX model, meaning it has all upgrades and features except navigation and leather. The car came with the Honda HFP body kit from the factory making it look a bit sportier and nicer than other Civic"s you will see around.
I have receipts for most maintenance done over the last 9 years (tires, brakes, oil changes, air filters, etc.). Everything was done according to the Honda maintenance minder, meaning all maintenance is up to date and the car should provide the next owner with many years of reliable service. Oil changes were always done with synthetic oil (like I said, I love this car). Car has new tires as of last year, new rear brakes (front brakes have plenty of life left), oil just changed last week, and A/C system was just serviced and blows COLD.
Overall the car is still in very very good condition. Interior is nearly perfect, although the driver"s side floor mat could stand to be replaced and the CD player long ago stopped reading discs (I never used the CD player anyway as the car as an audio input jack I always used). Exterior is in similarly good shape but does have some rock chips on the hood and a couple dings/dents here and there as expected for an 11 year old 150k mile car. The rear driver"s side wheel well does have a couple small specs of rust peaking through however this should be an easy touch-up job. Compared to the vast majority of used cars I have looked at, I believe mine is in above-average condition. I always took care to park far away from other cars to avoid door dings and things like that.
Mechanically the car is sound, runs and drives quiet and straight. Feels solid, just like it did when I bought it in 2008.
