2012 Superlite Coupe (SL-C) by Race Car Replicas
Incredibly beautiful and focused track car with lots of exciting performance to offer. Built by Fran Hall of Race Car Replicas – the SL-C was designed to be safe, strong and lightweight. It features a beautiful fiberglass body over an all-aluminum monocoque chassis with custom billet suspension . This car was first assembled by a kit car hobbyist a nd I am the 2 nd owner. Since purchasing, I’ve been tracking the car regularly and improving it step by step. I have really enjoyed driving the car in time trails and drivers education events at Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, Barber Motorsports Park, and the Daytona road course. I"ve posted some on track video on YouTube. Search for "SL C Road Atlanta" or "SL C Daytona" You may notice doors lifting in video at speed. The roof scoop was open and let air in creating positive cabin pressure. Scoop has since been blocked off. The car is fully sorted and ready to enjoy. Several spares including set of CCW wheels, extra fiberglass seats, new Continental racing slicks, and 2 fiberglass engine cover tails (racing and street tail). Drivetrain: GM LS-376 crate engine with a 6 speed transaxle from a Porsche 997 911 Turbo. LS7 exhaust manifolds. D yno’d at 470 to the rear wheels. This is a bullet- proof drivetrain that motivates the car nicely. Suspension & Brakes: Custom billet aluminum control arms. Upgraded Penske 8760 triple adjustable racing shocks. CCW 18x11 and 18x13 forged wheels. Lightweight 2 piece rotors from Racing Brakes. Hawk Blue brake pads. Adjustable brake bias controller. This car could be adapted for street use with the addition of a glass windshield & wipers, headlights, cats, and a state inspection. You might want to add A/C and interior as well. Weighs 2500 pounds without driver. What’s It Like to Drive? This is an wonderful track toy that is so fun to drive! The handling is spot on and there is plenty of power to pass most anyone on the track. Expect lots of attention. People love to see (and hear) this car blast around the track.
