Vehicle description
2 Owner car. 1 st owner (10 years) did an incredible amount of tasteful and intelligent upgrades to this car. It exceeds standard specifications in many instances JCW specifications. My contributions in my 3 years of ownership have been to replace the windshield and the AC compressor along with a misbehaving headlight.
I have put on about 5000 miles and the car has been trouble free. Ice cold AC works great in South Florida! The car is a blast to drive and still gets driven occasionally. Don’t let the miles fool you (low miles for a 13 year old car), the car looks terrific with the onlyfront bra looking a little tired, but doing a great job of protecting the paint. At this stage, condition is most important, but the miles are still low for a 13 year old car (average about 9000 per year and under 2000 per year for the last 3 years). This is a great 1 st or 2 nd car, it does everything really well. I am only selling it because I bought a Mini convertible after enjoying this car so much! For you Mini aficionados, it has intake and exhaust work, 380 cc injectors (same as JCW), ignition upgrades, short shifter, 15% pulley, tune, Navi, factory LSD (rare option on a non JCW car), Harmon Kardon stereo, front/rear fog light switches (+ driving lights), auto AC, black panther heated seats and pano double sunroof.
Prior owner did a permanent fix on the AC low speed resister, added metal coolant tank, Alta hoses, EBC redstuff pads with JCW brake calipers, 4 driving lights in front and light weight Traklite wheels. Tires are Potenza"s in the stock 205-45/17 size, have good tread and work really well with the light weight wheels. Car is prewired for Valentine 1 and the V1 remote! ! There is a carbon fiber rear roof spoiler and the sideview mirrors have carbon fiber mirror covers. Rear seats can be removed, with a cover panel to fit over the opening. The prior owner also added a Scangauge II so you can keep tabs on the operation of the engine (water temp, voltage, etc.). Owner’s manual organizer in the boot (fits on the bottom of the inside trunk cover). All items described in the these paragraphs are included with the car. If you want to do a reasonable pre-purchase inspection at your expense, I will help coordinate with you. All inspections have to be done PRIOR to the close of bidding. The car is sold “as-is”, “where is”, and “with all faults”. There are no warranties of any type, express or implied.
Value is in the eye of the beholder. But given the upgrades, and the replacement of the AC compressor, windshield and headlight, this car is in better shape than when I purchased as the winning bidder at over $9000. This is a bargain for someone who understands the value of the upgrades that would cost 1000"s of dollars to replicate, even with used parts. It may be early in the year to sell (still snow on the ground in some parts of the country), so buy it now before other people start focusing on their next fun car! Deposit of $500 is required within 48 hours of close of auction, balance within 7 days of close of auction. Deposit is non-refundable. Wiring instructions will be sent to the winning bidder. I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time for any reason. Feel free to ask questions or ask for a picture of a part of the car you wish to see that did not get photographed. Shipping is at buyer’s expense, but consider flying in and driving her home. I will be glad to meet you at the airport. I will add a full tank of gas and detail for winning bidder at BIN to drive home!
Title is in hand. I have great feedback, so let’s make this a good transaction for buyer and seller! Someone is going to get a really fun car to drive! Happy bidding and good luck! !
