Selling my wife"s Chili Red 03 Mini Cooper S, we"ve got two, but we"ve recently bought her an SUV because we"ve got a kid due in Feb.
This car is faster than a normal R53 Mini Cooper S, and unfortunately, slightly quicker than my JCW.
The car has been in her family, her aunt was the original owner and special ordered this MCS with the Navigation and Cordoba leather option from the dealer. Still have the original window sticker with all the options as well.
They had taken good care of it prior to our ownership, but in the past year, I"ve done a ton of maintenance on this car to ensure it lasts. I"m very familiar with this platform, so as it was intended for my wife to daily, I made sure it was solid enough for her to drive around without me getting a worrying call that she"s on the side of the road.
New water pump, front and rear shock mounts, alignment, brake fluid flush, thermostat, supercharger oil service, crank sensor w/ o-ring, CSF radiator, MTF fluid, oil change, abs sensor, new plugs, wires, and belt ( correct belt size because this car has a 15% reduction upper pulley), and the the stupid fan resistor. I also tinted the windows, 40% front 20% rear, added the black beltline vinyl, black front grills, and torque solutions billet arm.
Trust me, I"ve gone over this car numerous times when we bought it and she"s only driven it about 3K miles due to covid / working from home.
The car also has the following upgrades: Borla Cat Back Exhaust 15% supercharger pulley Koni Yellows ( adjustable dampening) and Hotchkis Springs Spring Booster ( essentially a pedal commander with 3 settings) JCW ( John Cooper Works) tune, it"s a factory ECU tune upgrade so it does pass CA smog without concern. Torque Solutions lower engine mount, slightly increase in NVH. Drop in K&N Air Filter Strut Brace Aluminum expansion tank( oem is known to fail)
Also have a ton of records for parts there were replaced before we bought it, including the clutch and engine mounts.
Only three issues with the car I have yet to address, a small oil leak from the pan gasket, but I have the gasket and bolts associated with the repair, and WILL include it with the sale. The car does have 2 door dings on it, and a crack on the windshield.
The car is plenty fast, runs strong, well-optioned, meticulously maintained, and everything works. Would not hesitate to drive it across the country.
The following includes what her aunt had replaced within 50K miles Supercharger ( replaced with rebuilt unit) Clutch Zimmerman Rotors with EBC Brake Pads Michelin AS3+ ( currently at 7/32nds) plenty of life left. Engine/trans mount Powersteering reservoir valve cover gasket reseal Coolant Feed/Return hoses Belt Tensioner
