Vehicle description
This is a well maintained 2005 Ford Explorer XLT with a hitch for towing and 4-wheel drive for handling the snow. It was purchased new in 2005 and has had a single owner. There is a third row of seats which allows you to carry up to 7 people very comfortably, or you can fold the back seats down and take advantage of the space for hauling larger items. The interior is in excellent condition (100% non-smoker automobile) and everything is original except for the mats which were replaced with quality replacement mats (two sets, rubber and carpet mats, both included). The lumbar support on the driver"s seat was damaged but has been repaired so that the seat is comfortable to sit in. This Explorer comes complete with an upgraded radio/media center with a headphone input jack and Bluetooth compatibility. Fully automatic locks, powered adjustable front seats, power windows, automatic lights, and an external keypad for key-less entry make this car very easy to drive.
The odometer currently reads 169,387 with regular oil changes. The engine runs smoothly with no issues and has no history of malfunction. All the spark plugs and old cables were recently replaced (cables as necessary) and a new alternator and brakes were also installed recently. The transmission can be a little slow when putting the car in to reverse (it"s been like this for >5 years with no change in performance over that time) but it"s not a significant issue and the transmission is in great shape otherwise with no other issues. There is a small amount of rust on the exterior of the car but as can be seen (or not seen that is) from the pictures it"s not obvious or extensive. There are no significant scratches or other cosmetic issues and the car has never been in an accident (verifiable with a vehicle history report). There are two keys, original spare tire, jacks, and owner"s manual among other things that come with the car. In general there are no active issues that require immediate attention and the car is ready for a new owner to drive immediately.
Unfortunately, I do not have extensive maintenance records but will provide what I have available and can work with the buyer as needed to ensure they are confident in their purchase (buyer paid inspection for example). Delivery can be arranged to most places in the Cleveland/Northeast Ohio area (within 50 miles of downtown Cleveland) but I am also happy to work with a shipping company. It"s been a wonderful SUV but I recently began driving significantly more and need a smaller car with better gas mileage for the longer commute. I"m happy to answer any questions and hope to find someone that can get some more great use out of this car.
