Vehicle description
We are selling this trusted and faithful Ford Excursion with the 7.3 Powerstroke. It has been the last 10 years on totally highway miles to pull an enclosed trailer for our youth ministry. We have owned this since 2008 and have used it to travel from Texas to Minnesota doing events. We bought it with 130,000 miles on it, and it now has aprox. 295,000.
We have over 10 years of service records in a file folder about 2" thick. All service was done by the local Ford Dealer, Platte Valley Auto, and we are welcome to let anyone see the service and repair records.
Vehicle is in good to excellent shape cosmetically, and excellent shape mechanically. Since we traveled cross-country with this vehicle we always did extra preventative maitinance. Always kept plugged in, and we have mounds of records of always using fuel additive, even in the summer months to keep injectors strong.
Unit has a Dual Air Bag, "Air Lift" suspension, which works excellent. It has the onboard air compressor. You can air up each bag independently. Also included is the trailer break controller. Also note the heavy duty mud flaps, as seen in the photos, which works really great when pulling trailers and keeps absolutely ALL rocks and snow off the trailer.
Unit has a GPS hard wired into the dash, which is included in the sale.
Unit has a dent on the front, passenger bumper and a small scratch on the passenger door, as seen in photos.
Tires are only 2ish years old and are high quality, high load Hancook tires, with lots of tread remaining. No abnormal wear on any of the tires, as we always keep this aligned properly. Breaks and rotors and moderate to good, and the unit does not shake when stopping.
Unit is a 4x4, which works excellent.
Overall, it will be hard to find a better equipped towing vehicle with this kind of extensive maitinance records. An absolute excellent vehicle! ! !
