Vehicle description
eBay Selling a 2002 BMW M5, Clean title with 134k miles; Lemans Blue/Caramel interior. Most of the records for the car available since almost new. I have been a long time enthusiast and had over 15 different cars built in Bavaria. This is my third E39 M5 in the same color combo. Every one of them has the same story. I look for them for a long time, buy them, spend a ton of money to clean them up and then some event happens in my life that forces me to sell. I currently have a e46 m3, e39 m5, F15 x5, G30 hybrid, a 67 Camaro and i3 coming off the lease. My wife is currently taking a long brake from work to take care of our growing family. We have a 2 year old daughter, a baby boy due in June and three dysfunctional dogs that require very expensive care at their age. I love cars, but I need to sacrifice them to hire a nanny and make sure everyone is happy. I know I will be back in the seat of an e39 M5 again, but now is not the right time. I found this car in Florida and at the time it was the only LMB over Caramel car for sale in the country. I jumped on it and my goal was to replace all worn items and slightly upgrade the perfectly factory built car. I have owned an e60 M5 and f10 M5, but there is no other M car that feels the way the e39 M5 chassis and steering feels. The car underwent all the below replacements over a course of one year and the first time I took it out and drove it on Pacific Coast Highway I could not stop smiling. This is what the car does to me and I am pretty sure many of you share that feeling. Services in the last 12 months: Re-upholstered front seats - Re-upholstered door handles - Alcantara covered ebrake - Alcantara covered steering wheel - Alcantara covered center arm rest. - New oem black floor mats. - New clutch/flywheel (OEM) - New driveshaft - New support bearing - New Crank seal - New Air injection pump - New pinion seal. - New rear door locks. - New OEM key - New front brakes. - New rear sway bar and brackets - New power steering pump and lines. - Oil pan resealed. - New Valve cover gaskets - New clutch slave cylinder - New transmission case - New rear main seal - New plugs - New Fuel pump - New Water Pump - New Fuel filter - KW V3 suspension with less than 1000 miles on it. - Completely redone OEM wheels in titanium gray. - New MAFS - Einhorn diff and shifter bushings - Short shifter (forgot which brand) - OEM ZCP shift knob. - New center console - New cup holder and the panel under it. - New window trim on the outside. The old one was corroded. - Black kidney grills - Custom rear section/Muffler delete. - Magnaflow cats The Good: - The engine runs very strong and does not burn any oil. - The chassis feels very tight and the car runs smooth with KW V3 suspension. - Everything works, heat warmers, AC, radio, navigation, all lights and systems. The Bad: I am a very anal enthusiast and some of the below are purely items that bother me and if I was to keep the car I would replace them or address them. - Top of the leather dashboard is cracking, which is a typical issue with full leather dashboard. I was planning on replacing the entire dashboard, but the project was getting costly. - The alcantara headliner has a loose spot around the visor, which is also a common issue. I talked to Adam Bajrak about replacing the headliner and it’s not an issue. - Something rattles over big bumps inside the driver’s side door. I will let the next person handle that. - I repainted the front and rear bumper due to some rock chips, but I would probably address couple door dings and give the car a good buff/polish. - Rear bottom part of the seat has a spot that needs to be redyed. - Headight adjusters need to be addressed.
