Vehicle description
Very solid example of a Supercharged XJR base touring. If you know these cars you know they are quick and nimble brutes. Google the specs. Car does all that and more. Miles of smiles this car. It is original and unmolested. Have original manuals, two key sets (no valet key) even the original first aid kit in the trunk. Full size w/matching rim spare. Dependable driver. Cooper speed rated tires about 7K from new. Complete 4 brake and rotors approximately 2K new. Regularly serviced for the 7 years I have owned it. Mobile 1. Bad is the high beam cover glass took a rock. Only the glass broke. Have a OEM left headlight assembly (complete) that I bough to replace. Goes with it. Coupe small dints from walnut tree on sunroof, other than that general ding free, Don"t really show in the pictures, I disabled the sunroof. Switch in the overhead needs replaced. Opens, but will not close. I closed it and then unplugged the switch. 88K miles in the pic, but it is a driver and miles will increase. slightly Assume 89,000 miles. Headliner is pinned in the passenger ceiling. They did a nice job and you don"t notice it. Headliner was pinned before I got the car and I have had no issues with the headliner. Has a small cigarette burn in the rear seat. Not too bad. Not all the way through the leather. Car does not smell of tobacco. It has not been smoked in during the time I have owned it. These cars have a special following. If you read this far. .I love it and keep in good condition, but it has some Jag quirks with the messaging system. I simply clear the ODB Codes about every 2K miles. OBD II reader included. Most frequent are Check Gas Cap. Yes, I did check the gas cap. Kicks out a P455 and a P1000 code every year of so. Had it checked more that a few times by Jag certified place, Ask a barber if you need a haircut, I suppose. More of an annoyance with the occasional engine light that is easily cleared. A $35 OBDII Pocket readers was a good fix. Car has presenting these codes on and off for about 35K miles running now. Like I said, more of an occasional nuisance with a 2 min fix with the pocket ODB reader. Priced accordingly. I bought a new car. Dealer offered $3250 on the XJR. Seemed to be such a waste of a performance car to send her off to the crusher. So I kept her. Solid car, never misses a beat, good running gear, does not drip a drop in the driveway. British muscle. A good #7 example. No low balls please. Look up the pricing NADA and Kelly. Bid accordingly. This is a fair deal on an original car that has not had the guts beaten out of it. Zero bidders and newbies are problematic. If you have to ask you wife or your dog for permission, this is not your car. Feel free to ask questions or for additional photos.
