Vehicle description
2001 Jaguar XJR that has been my daily driver for the last two years. Ran perfectly until last week - Running rough with check lights coming up. I am not sure what is happening but it started out as intermittent and now runs rough the couple times I started it after. Unfortunately, I have too many cars and too little time to properly diagnose and repair so it must go on to the next loving owner. Besides that, the car also has some damage to the right side rear door and a small amount to the corresponding quarter panel. The door and window still function perfectly despite the damage. Needs new tires. Now for the good: A/C blows cold! Recent front brake job using high quality parts Recent front end alignment Engine, as mentioned, was running perfectly and serviced regularly. Recently replaced the supercharger belt, cooling fan, and belt pulley bearing. Also replaced a faulty ignition coil, as well as all the spark plugs. Transmission (Mercedes sourced 722.6 5-speed) runs perfectly, shifts smoothly through all gears. Recent service included fluid and filter change with the specified oil and genuine Mercedes filter and pan hardware. While I was there, I replaced the wiring harness connector for the transmission, which is known to leak on these transmissions. Interior is very nice with good leather, has typical age related issues like wear to the driver seat bolster, some cloudiness and cracks in the lacquer of the wood trim. The dashpad is crack free. Sunroof functions, as well as all the windows, seat controls, radio, etc. The A/C blows cold! All the glass is good and has a high quality tint all around. Most everything works on the inside - If I had to nitpick, the automatic door unlock does not always work to unlock the doors when pulling the interior door handle - I just use the door lock button on the dash. Also, there are a couple of bulbs out in the instrument cluster. Minor issues for a 20 year old Jag. Exterior - Aside from the previously mentioned body damage, the paint is in very good condition. The only exceptions are faded paint on the plastic piece surrounding the trunk button and minor nicks/scrapes in the paint. The factory chrome plated 18" rims are also in good condition with very minor flaking at the extremities. Overall a beautiful car that needs some TLC to be an awesome car again. With just under 400 horsepower this is a fast car! Pickup is in West Hills, CA, within three calendar days of purchase. Will also work with your trucking company of choice, if you are not local!
