Selling my 2001 Audi S8. Just paid for CA smog and registration. Tags good until Sept 2018. Runs good and strong. Has a few issues. Hey, it"s an older super performance car with high mileage. If you drive it really hard, the transmission will now and then "bang" into a lower gear. If you drive it normally, it runs shifts and drives as it should. All brakes done less than a year ago. Tires are "rollers". I took my brand new Platinum Kumho"s off. They have less than 1k miles on them. If you want them, you can have them for the $800 that I paid for them. The horn doesn"t work nor does the cruise control (probably the clock spring). The ac blows cold and the heater works but the automatic climate control sometimes sticks on hot on the drivers side (passengers side works fine). The moon roof works perfectly as designed. It does NOT have the "solar" roof option. The car is all there and all original, except for the fog light louvres (aftermarket). The phone handset is missing. The interior is in excellent shape for it"s age. Some minor wear but no rips or tears in the leather. Very minor sunstroke on the dash, one minor crack. Couple of chips on the front door panels at the hand pulls. Exterior paint has some scuffs, scratches, dings, and small dents that don"t show up in the pictures. Clean carfax and autocheck. I was using this Audi as a commuter until the drivers side climate control started sticking on hot (no fun). I always wanted an S8. I bought this one more than three years ago from the original owner as a project. My wife says that I"ve got too many projects. "We"ve" decided to sell this one. Please know what you are buying. This car is probably not for someone who doesn"t know and love the Audi S8 for the $100,000 super-car of the age that it was. I am selling it as a "mechanic"s special" and "AS-IS". I am not guaranteeing anything except a clean title and a valid CA smog certificate. I usually check my emails most evenings, but please be patient with me if I don"t respond immediately.
