Vehicle description
If U R a fan of the classic P38 Range Rover, than this could B the car 4 U. The engine and drive train R strong, but there R many cosmetic issues that would make this a great project car 4 someone who is handy and can do their own work. It is the classic Range Rover body style and comes with brush guards and luggage racks. I have owned this vehicle since 07/25/2007 and enjoyed every minute of it. I have maintenance records since I have owned her for oil/filter changes etc. I religiously change the oil/filter every 3,000 miles using Castrol High Mileage 20W50 and a Fram High Mileage Filter. She does not burn 1 drop of oil between oil changes. She is a beautiful dark green metallic with a tan leather interior. She has a clean Car Fax Report and a clear Tennessee Title. I have converted the troublesome air suspension with front and rear spring conversion kits provided by Strutmasters, so no more worries with leaking air struts. The conversion kits work excellently on these cars. She has a class three receiver hitch on the rear and is fitted with class one receivers on the front 2 receive a front tow bar. These work perfectly 4 towing behind an RV etc. I replaced the battery in October 2017 so no worries there. I have MANY spare parts 4 her including a spare console.
Now 4 the negatives making this a project car for someone that is handy and able 2 deal with such issues. The air blows cold, but I had 2 bypass the heater box due to either a pinhole leak or a bad o-ring. The sunroof closes but does not raise up into the final storage position. The temperature guage reads cold all of the time. I replaced the console thinking that it was a faulty guage, but the guage still did not register. The problem lies between the fuse and the console, but I have not been able 2 find it. In the meantime, I have installed a temporary temperature guage just so that I know what is going on with the engine temperature while driving. The radio/CD player/tape deck R all original but have not worked in the last year or so. There is a separation in the exhaust pipe before the final resonator. I have not bothered 2 fix it since I rather enjoy the low throaty sound that emminates from the exhaust.
So if I have not scared the bejesus out of U and U R willing to accept this mission, U could end up with a really nice classic Range Rover after effecting some of the above mentioned repairs. HAPPY BIDDING! !
