1994 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Bostonian Gold Cat Edition with Only 37k Actual & Documented Miles 1994 Mercury Cougar XR-7 "Gold Cat" Edition. Only 37k original and documented miles! This Cougar is extremely rare, as it came with (and still retains) its factory original options, however, is equipped with a rare "Gold Cat" package. The car is in great shape for it"s age, and everything is functional apart from the factory radio. It"s believed that the previous owner removed an aftermarket radio before the sale, and possibly installed the factory original radio incorrectly. The exterior paint is in great condition in some areas, yet shows fading in other areas such as the hood and deck lid due to loss of clear coat. The interior is in good condition but again shows unavoidable signs of aging in some areas such as carpeting and seats. See photos below for details.
