Vehicle Details For sale a 1985 Mercedes Benz 300d sedan. The car was recently repainted due to fading. There is one small rust spot in the rear right door jamb (see photo), but is otherwise rust free. The engine starts and runs well with only slight smoking upon startup, but that quickly disappears. New motor mounts were recently installed, as well as new tires. The transmission shifts well. The AC will need work, as well as the radio. The interior is in fair to good condition, with some fading of the seats and carpets and and small cracks in the dash. The large sun roof opens and closes well and is water tight. The power windows and door locks work well. Apparently the odometers on these cars are notorious for malfunctioning so the mileage listed is not correct and is believed to be more. The power brakes are in great shape and stop the car easily. While this car is not perfect, it starts, runs, drives and stops well and is, and has been a good daily driver.
