Finished with a Spruce Green exterior and Parchment MB-Tex interior. Driven just 43,245 one family owned miles since new. Options on this Mercedes-Benz include an automatic transmission, MB-Tex seats, power sunroof, alloy wheels, upgraded radio with CD player and more. This 300D 2.5 Turbo just underwent an oil and fluid service within the last 20 miles and it drives very well. The 5 cylinder diesel engine is strong and powerful and the automatic transmission shifts properly through all of the gears. The steering is tight and precise and the brakes feel just great. All of the electronics are working properly and the air conditioning is ice cold. This really is a great Diesel Mercedes-Benz to drive.
The interior is really nice. The Parchment MB-Tex seats are in excellent condition (see pictures) showing just minimal wear to the seats. The dashboard looks great with just some typical delaminating of the interior wood pieces (see pictures). Even the carpets look great thanks to the floor mats that have been protecting them. The exterior is in fair condition and could use some recommissioning and attention. The Spruce Green paint does have clearcoat failure and fading in several places (see pictures, probably the result of a fair at best repaint in the past). The panels are nice and straight and the chrome and brightwork look good. The wheels are in good condition and mounted on new tires. The 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300D 2.5 Turbo really is the ultimate modern day collectable car. It has fantastic looks and performance, plenty of safety features along with all of the charm and quirkiness of a diesel. This particular example would make an excellent easy project to make it beautiful or can be driven and enjoyed the way it is.
