The 300 SD 5 cylinder diesel - was manufactured from 1981 to 1985. Color DB-473 Champagne Metallic with a Palominio Interior. Pirelli 16" installed Jume 5th ye olde Discount tire. * Sun roof - electric, vacuum locking doors & trunk with valet key. * All of the seat switches & window switchs have been replaced. All of the seats & electric windows work rather well including the sun roof. Pristine Naughyde (Not leather) Palomino leather seats & interior. * retracting radio antenna Heating & Air Conditioning. * ABS Non-slip independent rear-end. Very nice feature in icy conditions or steep hills. * Large power assisted Disk brakes, front & rear. Power steering. 4 speed automatic transmission. The W-126 300 SD does not have an onboard computer (No Idiot Light). No smog check required for Diesel in California. The W-126 300 has a 5 cylinder (OM617) with a Garrett T3 Turbo charger and a single overhead cam. The cam is driven by a double link chain rather than a cheesy rubber belt. The timing chain & injectors were replaced by European Motor Sports, San Marcos, CA. along with new injectors & glow plugs. * New Euro head lights with easily replacable Halogen bulbs (Blue tint). Vehicle has had the front suspension rebuilt. Upper & lower ball joints & strut bushings, tye rod ends, rotors & pads on all front wheels. All fluids & filters have been changed: brake, power steering, complements of Midas in Encinitas CA. Transmission fluid changed (looked real good) & new filters installed by Auto Precision in Vista, CA. Engine & transmission mounts & exhaust hangers. Final Alignment performed by Alignment PRO in San Marcos CA. The engine really runs extremely well, starting effortlessly & it purrr"s. The engine has very very good compression & oil pressure & sounds like a new Engine. Stainless Steel brake lines, trunk gasket, Window seals have been replaced as necessary & new glass . . .
