The Mercedes W124 series vehicles were excellent cars - comfortable, safe, durable, reliable and capable of very high mileage. But they were more than just good cars. They were elegant, the coupe especially. Only 24,463 of the 300CE 3.2 were made. They were rare and expensive when new - over $60k and even more rare now. The best examples will obviously be found in California and Florida. And as the availability goes down and the collectability goes up, so do the prices. This 1992 300CE is a good "middle of the road" example. It is clean, presentable, original (no modifications) and has low mileage for the age and low mileage for a W124. It runs and drives well and is a nice car overall. We priced the car conservatively because it has had 3 owners and was originally a Northern car. It also has some minor cosmetic imperfections. We have thoroughly serviced this Mercedes in preparation for sale. It is in good working order and really a fun classic to drive. Due to the year model it only needs a safety inspection here in NC, but shouldn"t have any problems passing an emissions test in another state. The automatic seat belt extender on the driver side now works correctly. We have been driving this car every other day so the mileage is slightly higher.
