Vehicle description
They are only original once. This is a very original 1982 CJ7 Limited with 86K miles that will sell to a new owner at NO RESERVE. The CJ7 Limited series is 2nd to the CJ7 Jamboree in rarity and this one appears just as it did 40 years ago when it left the factory. Originally from Arizona, it is free of any rust and has no body repair work that I can find. When I purchased the Jeep six years ago the seller claimed it was pulled behind a motor home for at least half of the 82K it had at that time, and the hard top had never been off. When it delivered, I noticed the windshield and windshield frame had pits from rocks which would confirm that it was pilled behind a motorhome for a significant amount of time. The hard top still had all the original star head bolts and was a bear to get off. I don"t know if it had never been removed, but it for sure had been on for a long time. The paint is all original except for the painted fender flares which were replaced at some point. A unique feature of the limited series is the fender flares that are painted to match the body. This Jeep even has the original Goodyear Arriva spare tire which does not hold air but looks really cool on the Jeep. The original Jeep AM/FM radio is still in the dash, but the tuning knob has been broken off. I have the knob and the original star bolts for the top in the center console. The original nutmeg interior and dash are in excellent condition except for the driver"s seat, which is separated at the seams and most likely beyond repair. There are also two cracks in the dash. The original carpet is all there but I would label it as fragile. Still has the original floor mats but they are not in the best of condition. The headliner on the hard top (unique to the Limited series) is in excellent condition. Mechanically the motor starts right up, and the Jeep drives fantastic. Transmission shifts flawlessly and the clutch feels nice and tight. Equipped with power steering and power brakes makes it easy to drive.
In summary, this is an unmolested and all original CJ7 Limited with low mileage. It"s the perfect CJ7 for a weekend fun vehicle, a show quality restoration at low cost, or customization to your liking. It"s the perfect CJ7 for just about anything. I"ve owned the Jeep for six years and have driven it 4,000 issue free miles total. In 2020 I only drove it for 300 miles and have put less than 20 on it in 2021. The hardtop has not been off since 2019. I"m not using the Jeep so it"s time to let her go to someone who will. I would not hesitate to drive this Jeep home except there is no spare tire and the current tires do have some age. There is plenty of tread, but I bet they are 10+ years old. I have a clear Maryland title and it is tagged and insured so test drives are welcome. I believe this jeep is worth $15,000 all day long and should sell just under 20K. It"s rare, it"s original, and it has low miles. I will assist in helping the new buyer in shipping and can store the Jeep for a few weeks if necessary. This is a NO RESERVE auction so don"t bid if you can not commit to prompt payment once the auction ends. Thank you for looking at my Jeep and good luck!
