| “This JEEP CJ 5 is a barn find. It had been sitting in a field in southeastern New Mexico for over 20 years. NO RUST The tires were rotten and weather checked (not safe to drive on). The engine would turn over but not start. Brought it home and pulled the valve cover. 2 of the push rods were bent. Replaced all the push rods. Installed a new battery, new alternator, new fuel pump, new vacuum advance, new spark plugs,had the carburetor professionally rebuilt, new oil and air filter, re arched the springs,replaced the wheels and put on new 31X10.5 R 15 tires. flushed and refilled the brake system.
