Bought this truck as a project and I lost interest, it’s been a Colorado truck it’s whole life, I’m the third owner of this 1971 Ford F100 custom, single cab 390FE with a C6 trans. I rebuilt the carb, replaced all of under hood electrical (rectifier alternator points coil plugs cap rotor wires), changed the head gaskets intake gaskets exhaust gaskets oil pan gasket, replaced the oil pump, replaced the fuel pump, cleaned the fuel tank, bought fenders and a driver side door, replaced most of the fuel line system, replaced most of the brake lines, replaced break shoes and hardware front and rear, replaced headlights and headlight switch and the high-beam floor switch, replaced ignition switch and tumbler, also installed a hidden push button start under the dash. In short the truck is mechanical sound it’s just not the prettiest on the outside.
