1978 F100 Custom Short Bed Inline 6 300 Cubic Inches
You are bidding on a 1978 F100 Custom Short Bed. This model is a rare truck to find. It starts right up, runs well, and drives.
This is a project truck that I was restoring. Due to new business opportunities. I will no longer have the time to work on them. I put over $18,000 into this truck and countless hours of work. I have receipts for the major work that was completed on the truck totaling about $10,000.
Transmission goes into gear and shifts smoothly. The brakes work good and the tires are new. Power Steering and Cold AC.
Professional companies completed all work. The frame is straight and very solid. The body is overall in good condition. I removed the old bed and any rust remaining. I replaced it with a handmade custom wooden flatbed.
Under the Hood :
The engine has been completely rebuilt, and the block re-surfaced by a machine shop. A professional shop completed the work, and I have receipts of the work. There are less than 500 miles since the rebuild. These vehicles did not come with AC. The existing setup did not have AC. I installed a brand new complete AC system. The AC Blows cold. I changed manual steering to power steering. Repaired electrical systems for turn signals and lights Installed heat absorption firewall pads between engine and cab.
All New Belts New Air Intake Filter New Alternator New Battery New Carburetor New Fuel Filter and Fuel Pump New Starter New Steering Wheel and Horn Assembly Replaced Instrument Cluster Replaced Lifters Replaced Radiator Tube Replaced top engine valve spring and valve cover gasket.
Body Work:
Removed all major rust and repaired bad areas. The cab and bed were sanded, primed, and painted with an initial base coat of matte black. With receipts for work.
Everything Else :
Brand new MT Hankook Tires. Converted manual steering to power steering. C4 Transmission. Replaced the rear main seal. Fixed radiator seal leaks. Fixed any other misc leaks New Taillights New Headlights New Pads New Brake Sensors New Oil and Filter Replaced exhaust pipe from the manifold. Replaced shocks and struts. Replaced gas tank and filler tube. Replaced side view mirror. Transmission Flush
I believe the odometer reading is correct, but I cannot state for sure. The engine was rebuilt about eight months ago with documentation. I have a clean Florida title in hand.
