Vehicle description
For sale is our 1967 Morris Minor 6CWT pickup This 1967 Morris Minor pick-up is from the last year of US importation and originally belonged to BMC San Francisco where it was used as a parts runner. Never crashed and has always been rust-free. It has been upgraded from the stock 1098 engine to a 1275cc twin-carb engine. Also the front drum brakes were traded out for front disc brakes to improve stopping distance and safety. Has the original canvas canopy cover over bed hoops. In US terms, 6CWT translates into a 1/4 ton truck.
Originally a lighter shade of green over tan, the little truck now wears a darker shade. This has never been fully restored, but the truck has been periodically freshened along the way. Nice tan vinyl upholstery, good carpets, and a clean dash retaining original light green paint. The large, centrally-mounted speedometer is flanked by a set of auxiliary gauges (including tach, oil pressure, water temp and ammeter) mounted in place of an open factory parcel shelf. All gauges, switches and lights are 100% functional apart from the electronic rev counter which works intermittently). An aftermarket cassette deck is installed underneath the glove box. The 1275cc motor with its twin SU carbs offers much improved performance over the original single carb 1098cc engine. Additionally, the rear end has been upgraded to a 3.9:1 ratio from a Sprite to help it keep up with modern traffic. This has also been converted to negative ground and fitted with an alternator. We purchased the truck almost 3 years ago and really have not done much with it. We have added less than 20 miles to the odometer. Runs great and is a turn key project. Now we need space more than another extra "shop" vehicle. If you are an out of country buyer, please contact us. We can assist with shipping in and out of the country. $1000 dep within 24 hours. Full payment within 7 days.
