Up for sale is my 1958 Morris Minor Traveller. The Travellers are rare in the US. Runs good but needs complete body restoration including tires. Two new floor pans along with two used extra doors, two extra front fenders and one rear fender. Some other extra parts are also included. The previous owner told me he installed all new brake shoes along with wheel cylinders and most brake lines . The master cylinder needs rebuilding and a kit comes with it. The brakes can be bled and they work with a good hard pedal but after sitting for a few days they need bleeding again or pedal goes to floor. Some of the wood needs replacement. Pretty much everything is there! Doors open and close good and sound. New wood is available in sections or the complete wood kit at several websites online. Rocker panel unibody areas under the car are rusted out. This is common with these cars. A section of the crossmember on the right side is rotted off. Some areas of the floor boards have been patched. I have a brand new right side section of the crossmember to be replaced that can be welded onto the existing crossmember. Comes with a brand new battery and fuel pump. The gas tank in the car seeps but an extra tank is included that I was told doesn’t leak but needs complete cleaning. I currently start and run the car fed with a gas can under the hood connected to the fuel pump. All of the panels and rocker kits are readily available for this car brand new online. The odometer has 48,000 but the speedometer is not working. This purchase for me was on impulse after retiring! I already have two old cars that I am restoring and now given the realization of my age, time involved to restore this car, cost, and my other two projects I’ve decided to sell it. The car comes with a clear New York State registration in my name, owner’s manual, a hardcover book of the complete restoration of the traveler and a service manual is available online at the Morris Minor owners club I believe. These are awesome looking cars when restored. I have it for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally first. I do have a short You Tube video of me driving the car in front of my house I can provide upon request. The car is sold with a clear transferrable NYS registration in my name along with a NYS DMV bill of sale form. The car is sold “as is, no warranty and no returns” A non-refundable $500.00 deposit is required within 24 hours of buyer winning the auction!
