This car runs, drives, and looks spectacular. Below are some of the details of note regarding this vehicle. Should you have specific questions, please let me know.
The Story : The owner I got the car from bought this car on an impulse buy in 2009 on a road trip, saw it and had to have it (the for sale sign tape is still in the back window from the 2009 purchase). Bought the car home, had the brakes redone and upgraded to a dual master, got the car inspected once and there it sat in a garage for 9 years and another 2 under a carport. So what you have here is a result of working through 12 years of mold, dirt, oxidized paint, and tracking down of old worn parts/seals etc…
*I do have video of this vehicle running, just ask
*Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor
Exterior :
PAINT - Good Condition Original vehicle color You can see the imperfections in the photos of the vehicle (not many but some are there) There is room for this paint to shine further. Out of my own curiosity, I have buffed out most areas of the vehicle to restore most as I could. *Disclaimer, I am no detailer but the car shows extremely well!
BRIGHT WORK - Good to Fair Condition Maintains its bright shine All exterior trim has maintained its mirror like qualities Vertical runner missing along front windshield passenger side (see photos)
WHEELS - Good Condition (specific to the OE Hub Caps) No dents or dings in these factory OE Caps OE wheels are in Good condition Center cap colors are still prevalent Once cleaned this set will be a great OE set *Car will come with the currently installed wheels and tires, 4 OE Wheels/Caps, and 1 spare
Interior :
SEATS - Good Condition Original Seats, in really great condition Really excellent condition seats here however, on the passenger seat there is a stain in the upper corner closest to the door (may or may not come out, I cant tell), and a seam on the upper passenger side of the back seat that will need to be restitched (you can see both in the photos). I do have a few Cons regarding the interior here: Fuel gauge INOP, Clock INOP
TRIM - Good Condition No missing or cracked trim
Flooring - Excellent Condition Rubber flooring in Excellent condition
HEADLINER - Good Condition This is really an Excellent condition OE headliner, however, upon finding the car the car was filled with mold which was neutralized but I did not clean all of the stains, only enough to make presentable and to validate that it could in fact clean up.
Engine/Underbody :
ENGINE - Good Condition No ticks/knocks, starts, runs, drives, and stops Original 110HP 2 carb engine Everything functions perfectly as it should mechanically Fluid levels maintained throughout New Stuff : New Battery, new Alternator mount gasket, new oil pressure switch, new Alternator with internal regulator, new dual Master Cylinder, new brakes, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new carburetors, and new serpentine belt (plus an extra). These AutoZone belts wont cut it, you’ll need to get the proper Corvair belt from a “Clarks Corvair” or something suitable. They will work from a local parts store, however, they just aren’t ready for the bends and twists of this unique design.
TRANSMISSION - Good Condition Shifts and drives through each gear smoothly No Fluid loss or discoloration to fluid
UNDERBODY - Good Condition No Rust No metal work done or needing to be done Drive terrain and components all function smoothly, all OEM.
