WELCOME to NAMCmopar"s on-line store ! Up for sale from the MoPar Lovers here at North American Muscle Cars -
1964 Dodge Polara 500 convertible 426 street wedge 4 speed manual shift, bucket seats and console car (orig 383)
Restored a few years ago, this is a very nice overall collector car. Car runs and drives great. Transmission shifts smooth. NAMC adjusted and corrected wrong parts inside the shifting mechanism to stop drivers fist from hitting the dash. Console looks great! All the blinkers and lights work. Bumpers are straight, stainless looks beautiful and bright. Grill looks great. All lights and blinkers work. Gauges work, dash lights up. The original chromed tail light housings are showing some pitting, but they still shine nice as seen in photos. Car has original VIN tag as photo"d in door jamb but is missing the original fender tag. This car belongs to a long time Washington customer of NAMC and has clean title. It"s an original 383 4bbl 4spd car restored to match his other 426 Polara 500 (coupe) in red and white. He"s offering this car for sale to make room for another!
MECHANICAL CONDITION: This car is listed as used with no warranty. Transmission and clutch have been rebuilt, new shift linkage updated to work as it should in console. Wiring has been replaced with new.
Car has power steering and manual drum brakes. Suspension was rebuilt when car was restored but they but did not change the upper and lower control arm and strut rod bushings. NAMC has replaced those original worn out components and have scheduled a front end alignment on our next dry day.
Wheels are 1969 and later 14 inch Mopar magnum 500"s. Tires are all evenly worn, no coards showing but new meats might be in the cards for this car"s future.
Convertible top is in great condition as well as all interior. Car has red boot liner and matching red top cover that snaps into place for top down fun. Convertible top motor works great, has electric switch on dash. We have a video of it working on company facebook page NAMCmopar. Red exterior and white convertible top. Interior is red and antique white seats -these are bright and beautiful. New black carpet.
We put car on lift and snapped photos for this listing. Floor boards look good, car is a very solid and still has original undercoating. We have not found any rust during our mechanical work, research into gremlins or photos for this listing. Nice body, beautiful red body paint. We did see a paint chip on the trunk lid lip, probably from someone"s ring - people are just not careful.
Car sells with it"s own car cover. New trunk mat looks great, trunk floor looks great. We ordered a pair of new trunk quarter extension boards to stop the left and right trunk mat edges from falling into the rear wheel wells. This is back ordered but will belong to car when they arrive, we will send them on to the new owner if the delay is much longer.
TRANSPORTATION: Car ships from Portland Oregon USA. Car will not ship anywhere without full payment clearing. Car must ship within 15 days of auctions end or be subject to $35 daily (secure) storage fees and they add up. A clear copy of title will ship with car, original goes to new owner by priority USPS mail.
PAYMENT: We require a $1,000 non refundable down payment within 24 hours of auctions end from highest bidder. Down payment should be paid using PayPal but not the entire car"s transaction because the fees are incredible! Final full balance due within 10 business days. We prefer final payment by bank wire. As an automotive business with three decades of banking history, we send and receive wire guaranteed funds all over the USA -and international- without any problems. If you want to send personal check, cashiers check, money order etc. we have to hold car for clearing of funds -No Exceptions- If you want to show up with a bag of cash we will still need to take those bills to the bank for verification. Car will be relisted if full payment is late, so pay attention to the details! Some people are weird and the cons are getting too full of themselves.
TRANSPORTATION: Transportation fees are additional to the sale price of this car. Car will only leave our location with full payment clearing. Wired funds clear super fast, but other methods of payment take substantial amounts of time. It could take 10 full days, so any plans for the transportation truck to arrive must be AFTER our office has notified you that payment has cleared. We have success using USHIP.com to find affordable transporter options and we suggest you try it too.
