Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1968 Dodge Charger is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle is drivable. Vehicle Details Selling a bare shell of a 68 charger on a frame jig with some assorted AMD sheetmetal. Clean title, no fender tag etc. Wht you see is what you get. This car had been parted long before I got it. Body numbers match. This car will need the AMD catalog. I don’t have the front clip, drivetrain, interior, trim, etc. It was a 383 H code car. I believe LL1 with PS, PB, AC and a floor shift auto. I have roughly $3k in new AMD metal included (roof skin, passenger quarter, driver frame rail, tail panel) as well as OEM quarter extensions. The front driver rail will need replacement or patching. The other rails and rockers are solid. Torsion bar crossmember is solid. The rails in the rear are rust treated inside and have been braced to replace the rear crossmember. This car will need quarters, work around the rear windows, wheelhouses, a trunk, dropoffs, rear valance, valance corners, tail panel, full floors, patch work on the doors, patch work on the lower hinge panel areas, patch work in the driver a pillar, a roof skin and probably some patching underneath in the roof. The roof structure between the a pillars is a bit crusty. I have one in a bit better shape I can include. It needs a lot. Very rough. What you see is what you get. Body numbers match. I welded the radiator support back in, as someone cut it out when they removed the engine. The jig was built based off the 521 restoration plans using 3/16” steel on the 2” beams. Due to variation and tolerances it was adjusted to fit the car. If you plan on using the jig for another car, you’ll likely need to make some adjustments yourself. I did not index the 1” bolt under the driver frame rail since it was rusted out…so the pad is just tacked on to make sure the new rail goes on at the right height. The old steel casters will be replaced with something newer, as these are not included. It has welded on trailer jacks to level the jig in place. It’s not perfect, but it turned out pretty nice. Local pickup only. I can’t drop this off outside of maybe the Dallas area. This is difficult to transport. You’ll need a tilt deck trailer or be able to figure out how to get it on a trailer. I can help load it, but the buyer will be responsible for the logistics of transporting the car/jig and the loose sheetmetal. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
