Vehicle description
Up for auction is a 1962 Willys station wagon. This vehicle ran when parked, but was taken off the road due to the need for a carburetor and brake rebuild. The vehicle is not currently drivable and has not been run or driven in 3 years. Buyer assumes all responsibility for repairs and will have the vehicle towed or trailered from its current location.
Like most Willys vehicles of the era this truck has rust on many panels, but no structural rust problems. The frame has only surface rust, no holes or scary corrosion. After a some work on the brakes and carburetor this would be a great hunting truck, farm vehicle, rat rod or restoration project. Buyer should assume that many components will need to be replaced or repaired.
The engine was swapped by the previous owner to a Ford 302 V8 from a 1986 F150 4WD. The transmission, transfer case, and axles are original Willys parts in good condition . The fluids were last changed on both differentials, engine, transmission and transfer case in 2013. At that time front seat belts and an electric windshield wiper motor were also installed. The original front bumper, wheel covers, replacement carburetor, secondary back seat, tow bar and a few other spare parts will be included in the sale. I would love to put this truck back on the road myself but too many projects, not enough time, and a need to organize our property are forcing this sale. Total mileage of this vehicle is unknown and therefore listed as 000.
Buyer will pay $250 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. This vehicle is sold on a clean and clear title in my name, buyer will receive the Oregon title and a bill of sale after payment of the final auction value/ Buyer assumes all responsibility for transport and repair of this vehicle. I am able to schedule appointments to see the vehicle for the next seven days, I would much prefer that potential bidders come inspect the Willys before placing a bid.
