Vehicle description
"62 Chevrolet Corvair Monza for sale! A head turner meticulously restored! Repainted original "Ermine White" exterior with all of the chrome accents. All new original cherry red interior, everything from the headliner to the carpet is new and completely original. Gorgeous all original dashboard with AM radio. Bluetooth receiver in the glove box. Rebuilt engine less than a year old. New tires, rebuilt carbs, new suspension, electronic ignition and alternator with built-in regulator. California car, proud owner for the last 7 years. Garage-kept and driven on sunny days. The flat-6 air-cooled engine runs like a top, and everything that affects the drive ability (steering, suspension, brakes, etc.) performs flawlessly! 110 horsepower, 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. This little beauty drives extremely well!
The Corvair"s unique design included the Quadri-Flex independent suspension and Unipack Power Team of engine, transmission and rear axle combined into a single unit. Similar to designs of European cars such as Porsche, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and others, Quadri-Flex used coil springs at all four wheels with independent rear suspension arms incorporated at the rear. This model began arriving at showroom floors in April 1960. Despite their late January introduction of the coupe, these cars sold very well; making the coupe one of the most popular Corvairs. Can be kept as a collectors vehicle forever!
