Vehicle description
We are offering a gorgeous 1960 Nash Metropolitan Convertible. It is one of the best examples you will see of the most desirable "Series IV" convertibles.
This gorgeous 1960 Nash Metropolitan Convertible is a great example of the most desirable “Series IV” cars, with the high-compression 1500cc engine, vent windows and trunk lid (believe it or not, the earlier cars did not have a trunk lid). This car was lovingly restored over the course of 8 years by a long-time Metropolitan aficionado who was very active in the Southern California-based Metropolitan Owners’ Club, Ltd. The body is laser-straight and free of rust. This car features custom paint and upholstery among other tasteful custom details, while maintaining the original body and drive train. The rear end features SUPER RARE factory reverse lights! Upgrades such as a Weber carburetor front disc brakes and polyurethane suspension bushings make for a better handling and driving car over stock. Everything is in working order, and needs nothing but to be enjoyed.
This Metropolitan would make a great addition to anyone"s collection, or a great way to start one. They get attention everywhere they go and are always a hit at cruise nights and car shows. You will get more looks, questions and stories from people than the hot rods or muscle cars next to you that cost two to three times as much! Since completion of the restoration, the car has been driven approximately 300 miles.
The car is advertised locally and we reserve the right to end the auction early. While have made every attempt to accurately describe the car, we invite interested buyers to come see the car in person before bidding. More detailed pictures or close-ups of particular areas can be provided upon request. This car is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. We will do our best to assist the buyer with shipping, at the buyer"s arrangement and expense. $500 deposit is due withing 24 hours of the end of the auction, with the remainder due within seven days. Paypal is accepted for the deposit, and a cashier"s check, bank check, wire transfer or cash will be accepted for the remainder. Please ask any questions you may have.
Metropolitan Pit Stop We have thousands of original, used, refurbished, and new reproduction parts for your Metropolitan, with more being added every day! We have been dedicated exclusively to the preservation of Metropolitans since 1975, with a full service shop as well.
