Vehicle description
1939 Plymouth 1/2 ton shortbox pickup truck
This is a cool old project truck. It is similar to the dodge, but has differences and rare to find in comparison to a dodge. It was a mild kustom back in the day I guess. It had a custom paint job and a different steering wheel with a suicide knob. One door say"s "miss satin" the other says " little egypt". Besides that, the pickup looks original. The body has very little rust and is pretty straight with the exception of the rear fenders which need some love. Clear title in my name. Thanks
MECHANICAL
The plymouth has what appears to be the original drivetrain. Straight flathead six with a 4-speed. The motor looks to need rebuilt. Doesn"t turn over. Has a couple spark plugs out. I"m sure it is not usable but you never know with some penetrating oil. . It would be a good truck for an LS smallblock or a newer hemi. The truck rolls and steers. Rear driveline is disconnected and wired up. Body tag is still on it and matches the title. Cragars are included and usable but not real nice. Tires are old but maybe usable for a rat rod that isn"t on the highway at speeds.
BODY
The body is pretty solid The only rust through is on the supports for the running boards. The floors, frame, doors, hood, front fenders, firewall, etc. etc. are clean. The body is pretty straight but the rear fenders need work. Both doors open/close, and the hoods do. It needs all new flat glass. Grill has been bumped. No heavy bondo anywhere. I didn"t see any filler at all. Roof is straight.
INTERIOR
There really is no interior to speak of. The seat is gone but I may be able to help you get one. Nothing is cutup. The removable floorpan is included. The rear window inside trim is included. It"s kind of a blank slate.
