Vehicle description
Single family owned. Stored at their Lake Tahoe vacation home for 70 years and driven only 3568 miles before restoration. Never driven in the rain or snow. Never any rust.
Restored 2007-2008 by a meticulous owner and marque specialist Adams Custom Engines in Sparks Nevada. The best of all finishes were used, and the paint is a testament to the quality of the workmanship and materials as it looks to have been finished yesterday. Every mechanical part was rebuilt and refinished. The car retains it"s original lever shocks and mechanical brakes, which all work like new. The engine was fitted with improved internal parts and Eddie Meyer two carb manifold with new Stromberg 97 carbs. The clutch and transmission are smooth in take up and action and there are no squeaks or rattles. The car has been converted to 12 volts and has been driven approximately 1200 miles since restoration. The tires are Coker replicas and were mounted in 2007 and have no cracking and good traction, and the whitewalls are not yellowed. Accompanying the car is a 3" thick binder of photos before restoration as well as all invoices showing what work was done each month, and what parts and materials were purchased. The invoices total approximately $65,000 not including the purchase cost of the car. On Aug-12-21 at 08:48:18 PDT, seller added the following information: A computer or connection problem lost a couple edits and additions during my initial write up, so here they are again. 1. A custom indoor car cover is included. It fits the car like a glove. 2. There is a small blemish in the chrome windshield frame, along the top, about 6" from the passenger A-pillar. The flaw is a area about 1/4" diameter where the chrome is lifted off just a hair. It seems intact, but is noticeable 3. There is some slight chipping in the black bracket that holds the spare tire which can be seen 4. There is a period type cabin heater in the trunk which was added during restoration. I have not used it so don"t know if it works 5. There is an electric fuel pump, and chokes were added to the carbs for easier starting 6. The solid valve lifters have been replaced with adjustable, according to the builder"s sheet 7. The carpet is German square weave 8. The car was primed with Ditzler DP40 Epoxy and the paint and clear coat are Deltron 2000 Urethane and the finish is mirror like per the photos 9. The camshaft is a Schneider "Smooth Street" 32-48 10. The interior is Lebaron-Bonney
