This 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is one of 3,300 factory drag-racing specials built for the 2018 model year, and has been driven just six miles since the seller ordered it new through Rob Lambdin’s University Dodge of Davie, Florida. The car is finished in green over black leather and powered by a supercharged, 808-horsepower variant of the 6.2-liter Hemi V8, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes the Customer Preferred 26M and Satin Black packages as well as the Comfort Audio Group and red seat belts. This Dodge Demon is offered with its Demon Crate and associated accessories, a window sticker, purchase documents, a factory Certicard and build sheets, three keys.
The body is finished in F8 Green with Satin Black graphics covering the hood, roof, decklid, and lower body. The factory Demon Crate includes narrower front wheels and a soft storage case as well as a floor jack and storage bag, a cordless impact wrench, a torque wrench, a tire-pressure gauge, fender covers, and a tool bag.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather with Alcantara seat inserts and matching carpets. Amenities include heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats with embossed Demon graphics in the seatbacks, a rear seat, red seat belts, an 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and Uconnect infotainment with an 8.4 inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The 6.2-liter Hemi V8 features an IHI twin-screw supercharger with 2.7 liters of volume that has been tuned to produce 14.5lbs of boost. Output was factory-rated at 808 horsepower with 717 lb-ft of torque on pump gas, or 840 horsepower with 770 lb-ft of torque when running 100-octane racing fuel. The Demon achieved 0-60 acceleration times of 2.3 seconds and covered the 1/4-mile in 9.9 seconds during contemporary testing on 100-octane fuel.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential. The Demon features ‘Drag Mode’ settings, which disable the air conditioning and alter engine management profiles, while activating the transbrake and line lock functions that are released with a shifter paddle or throttle input above 2,350 rpm.
