Vehicle description
Custom built dually RV 2017 Assembled GMC Savana 3500HD/4500. It was built by marrying two vehicles: A frame, powertrain, suspensions, and differential, wire harnesses, dashboard, modules, etc. . out of 2010 Chevrolet Express Cutaway Dually Motorhome (159" WB) having 19k mile and a RV body out of a 2003 GMC Savana 2500 RV extended cab (155"" WB) having 42k mile. Everything under the cabin including wire harnesses, ECM, EBCM, MBM, Airbags Module/Airbags, and dash belong to the 2010 Motorhome. This cute RV does have a 6.0L gas engine and 6-speed (6L90) transmission, 3.71 differential. Curt XD hitch (18,000 Ib towing capacity), and HD brake controller were installed. I took it for two long trips and towed about 16k lb (2001 Chevrolet Express 15 passenger and 2006 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 crewcab) on 36" car hauler, it towed really nice. 6 new (LT 235/85/16 All-Terrain) tires were installed and properly aligned by WW Tires in Brookings SD. It was inspected by SD DOT, and new SD VIN was assigned to it. You’ll get 2017 Assembled Vehicle SD title. Below is the detail description about what was done: Vehicle number 1: 2010 Chevrolet Express Cutaway Motorhome Dually. Work Description: 1) Disassemble the front cab and remove the dash and wire harnesses. 2) Take the remaining part of the motorhome (the floor, propane take, and generator) off. 3) Pressure wash the frame and then undercoat the whole frame. 4) Disassemble the front end (front bumper, core support, radiator, ac condenser, headlights, turn signal, fenders, etc.…). 5) Service the engine and the transmission (change/flash: engine oil and filter, air filter, transmission fluid and filter, engine coolant). 6) After cab of vehicle number 2 painted, it was installed on the frame of vehicle number 1. 7) HD Cattleman bumper was mounted, new headlights, turn signals, and grill were installed and the AC unit was recharged. Vehicle number 2: 2003 GMC Savana G2500 Extended RV Work Description: 1) Disassemble the front end (front bumper, core support, radiator, ac condenser, headlights, turn signal, fenders etc…). 2) Remove the whole dash (panel and board). 3) Separate the whole cab from the frame. 4) Install vehicle number 1 dash. 5) Install the cab on vehicle number 1 frame. 6) Remove the cab mounts, rear bumper brackets and spare carrier from vehicle number 2 frame and reattached them to vehicle number 1 frame. 7) Trim the extra length of vehicle number 1 frame and relocate the rear bumper. 8) Replace and mount six tires (LT 235/85/16 A/T) and aligned the vehicle, it was done by WW Tires in Brookings SD. 9) Two rear fenders, and two new Velvac OE towing mirrors were painted and installed. 11) Install an X-duty Curt hitch and brake control unit. 12) DVD/GPS/Backup camera were installed and wire harnessed were inspected by a certified Electric Shop, Nielsen’s Electric, in Brookings SD.
