This R, with 292 HP, was special ordered at Hudson Valley Volkwagen in November 2014 by my brother-in-law. He took delivery in October, 2015, a year later. It has five months remaining on the VW Factory Warranty. Unfortunately, requesting the R with a six-speed manual transmission ended up taking 11 months for special delivery and shortly thereafter, he could no longer drive due to health issues. I then bought the car from him, so technically, I am the second owner. The six-speed manual is both very rare and makes this car incredibly fun to drive, with sublime handling and acceleration.
When the R was ordered, only the car"s color and transmission type could be selected (Limestone Gray with six-speed manual). No other options could be selected. No manual 2016 Rs have sunroofs. Car includes full technology package – Bluetooth wireless technology, smart key, rear-view camera, SiriusXM satellite radio, CD MP3 single disc, Fender premium sound, Car-Net and USB input.
In addition, car is AWD, with Manual Six-Speed Transmission, Blind-Spot Alert, Driver"s Assistant Package, Traction Control, Stability Control, ABS (4 wheel), Anti-Theft System, Keyless Entry, Keyless Start, Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control, Sensing Cruise Control, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Parking Sensors, Backup Camera, Dual Air Bags, Side Air Bags, Front and Rear Head Curtain Air Bags, Heated Seats, Power Seats, Leather Seats, Daytime Running Lights, Bi-Xenon Headlamps, Rear Spoiler, 18-inch Alloy Wheels and WeatherTech mats.
