Vehicle description
As with most adolescent males attenting school in the 60’s, I wanted a Jaguar E-Type in the worst way. It was the most stunning vehicle I had ever seen (and probably still is). You realized, at some point, a Jaguar was going to be in your future. Unfortunately, along the way to financial solvency, Jaguar lost its way…………until the F-Type. With the introduction of the F-Type Jaguar finally produced a car that was beautiful again, trying as much as possible (given our modern safety constraints and buyer expectations) to model the car after their icon. And they did an amazing job with a car that is gorgeous in both coupe and convertible forms. Still, technology in the auto industry has required that most every high performance car out of Europe come with paddle, dual clutch shifting. So the car was still not perfect, until 2016. Jaguar offered a 6-speed on all of its 6 cylinder models making owing this car as close to the experience of owning a new E-Type as they could. Of course, the one to have is the F-Type S with 380Hp. And, OF COURSE, as in the 60’s the convertible is the style of choice. This car is probably one of the most beautiful cars I have ever owned (and I have been fortunate enough to own quite a few exotics). The attention it attracts is amazing! Oddly, no one really seems to know exactly what it is. It’s just something that they can’t take their eyes off of, something obviously special and achingly gorgeous! This car is the supermodel that everyone wants to catch a glimpse of. If having people approach you to ask you questions makes you uncomfortable then this car is not for you. Expect this to happen on almost every drive, and I’m not kidding……. Most people think it’s some kind of a Ferrari (since this is how Ferraris USED TO look when they had good designers ). My best memories of this car, will be picking up my daughter occasionally from high school (which she has insisted on) watching her enjoy the envious stares of her classmates. The car has been a seamless performer. Although there are more powerful, faster cars out there, this car offers all you could ever truly use on the street, and has a beautiful balance. With the switchable sport exhaust the car sounds amazing. In addition to the performance and style of an E-Type, new owner is also treated to the conveniences of a modern car. The buyer of this car will NOT be disappointed. Seeing it downloaded off a transporter during delivery will be a memorable thrilling event, I can promise this. Or even better, pick it up and drive it home. So why am I selling it after only 3000 miles? Am I this least bit dissatisfied with the car? Absolutely not. Life just happens sometimes so the car must go. If you have any questions regarding this vehicle, feel free to contact me. Charles 541-404-6736
