You are bidding on a rare BRAND NEW 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 van with a convertible top - never sold, never used.
Van would be perfect for conversion into open top shuttle bus. It is equipped with a professionally installed BCE power plug door, a Caleche convertible top (power slide function not working) and an FMVSS/DOT-certified Smartfloor - ready for DOT-compliant bus seats to drop in.
The van was sold to an upfitter that installed all of the equipment per all manufacturer specs. The glass top did not work as it was supposed to (with motors and belts). Upfitter went out of business and we inherited it.
The plug door works fine, the Smartfloor is DOT pre-approved for seating. The glass top can be removed or converted to open/close manually. Interior trim pieces and glass top digital motors are included. Factory auxiliary AC compressor bracket, PSM and diesel-fired heater included.
The chassis had an original INVOICE price of $51,246 and is equipped with the following OEM equipment:
