Telsa S P85D (Performance model with dual motor and Insane+ mode). This model S is one of the rare 7 seater models (5 adult + 2 child) with the rear facing child seat compartment. This is a beautiful Model S, very clean, in great running condition, with low mileage, good battery. All factory recalls and firmware upgrades have been performed. Car was ready for final Salvage re-certification, but Tesla"s policy changed and now they are terminating DC fast charging/Supercharging indefinitely. The car would be a great fit for someone who drives no more than 200-300 miles a day.
Under the current Tesla Unsupported Vehicle policy, regardless of the reason that the car was deemed a total loss (hail damage, keying the car, or repairable accident damage), the vehicle automatically loses all warranty coverage, and DC Supercharging and Third Party Chademo charging is also completely disabled, at least until their unsupported policy details change.
At the moment, the car can only be charged on AC charging systems, like level 1 and level 2 chargers, J1772 public chargers, home Tesla wall chargers, Tesla mobile chargers, and Tesla destination chargers.
What is still supported: -Service repairs (although you are on your own to get it to a service center) -Premium data -Mobile phone App access -Tesla Firmware updates -All future safety recalls
We are hoping to sell the car soon, as we are now living overseas. We had plans to ship the car over, and were in the final technical process of getting the car re-certified at Tesla"s certified Blue Ash Body Shop in Cincinnati. Unfortunately during the process, Blue Ash was notified that Tesla had changed their policy, and that they are no-longer re-certifying salvage rebuilt cars to re-enable supercharging.
This policy change greatly affected our reasoning for shipping the Tesla overseas, so we are now listing this Model S below the suggested listed value of $43,411 – $56,896. I do suspect Tesla may change their Unsupported Policy to allow Supercharging in the future, but it could be some time until there are enough Salvage-Rebuilt vehicles on the road to warrant a change. . maybe by the next city-wide hail storm :)
Included in the purchase: -3 Key Fob remotes -80 Amp 18ft Tesla Wall Connector charger (with RV breaker service panel) included with purchase ($500 + $140 value). -Tesla Mobile Connector Charger ($250 Value) -Level 2 J1772 adapter.
Not included: -DC Chademo Charger adapter, since the DC fast charging is currently disabled, this adapter is being sold separately on ebay ($450 value).

+Autopilot – $2,500: Allows the Model S to steer within a lane and change lanes with a tap of the turn signal, manage speed, scan for parking spaces and automatic parallel park. +Premium interior and lighting package – $3,000: This package adds power lift gate, Nappa leather armrests and dashboard, Alcantara headliner, interior accent lighting, fog and cornering lights, and lighted door handles. +Smart air suspension – $2,500: This option allows the Tesla Model S to automatically adjust stiffness for optimum performance. +Rear-facing seats – $3,000: This option adds two seats in the trunk of the Tesla Model S that face the opposite direction allowing the seating capacity to increase to 7-passengers.
