I am the 2nd owner of this beautiful mechanical piece of art. I purchased it from the Park Place McLaren dealership here in Dallas in August 2014 with 7,270 miles on it. It has been babied and garaged during it"s time with me. McLaren cover included as well, never used. Car is in like new condition, not a scratch on her. Maintenance records available from Park Place where all annual services have been accomplished. Obviously not a lot of miles put on her while i"ve owned, but she"s not had any issues since owning. Only defect I can tell you about is the manufacturer"s defect in the headlamps (which McLaren is not saying it is a defect, but the service manager at dealership begs to differ). Too many "12 owners have brought their MP4"s in with same problem. The headlamps seals have leaked over time and allowed a "glue" component into the lamps. This has created a "starring" effect inside the lights. Service manager has a procedure to pull the lamps to correct the problem, but i haven"t had the time to accomplish. So, bid or offer price should include you repairing/replacing lamps. If you are a hand"s on / mechanical kind of guy, I"ll discount the price for you to accomplish this. Otherwise, there is always the option to replace the headlamps. Otherwise, the car is mint and runs like a DREAM! :)
