Vehicle description
For sale is a black 2012 BMW 535i X-Drive (aka 535xi) All Wheel Drive (AWD) 3.0 L L6 FI DOHC 24V Twin Power Turbo in good condition. This is a four door sedan, leather interior, sunroof, heated driver and all passenger seats, heated steering wheel, Bose sound system which sounds great, Sirius XM Radio, bluetooth connectivity, AUX hook up, CD player and radio. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle.
The good: There is currently 75,XXX miles on the vehicle. I purchased the car with 46,305 miles and am the second owner. I paid $28,096 last year for it. I"m selling it because I do not need this nice of a vehicle anymore for work as I am switching occupations. I have a loan on the car, but am ready to get that closed out for the new owner. This car is awesome, phenomenal handling, runs great in the winter, new all season tires put on at 68,146 miles, oil changes have been done on time, every time, new brakes front and back at 56,000 miles. The car has three driving modes that have different gear shifting ratios. The driving modes include Eco, Comfort, and Sport. There is also a manual shifting mode on it if you want to have even more fun with it.
The bad: I backed up into a telephone pole going 2.5 mph and put a crinkle in the back bumper (see photos). I had a quote to have the back bumper replaced and it was $669.84 at Gerber Collision. Additionally, this specific BMW has a safety feature built in where if you back up into something, or get rear ended, the head rest ejects forward instantly to reduce any whiplash. That being said, the headrest was ejected in that telephone incident and also needs to be replaced at the cost of $600. It is currently zip-tied back in the receded position. These items can be negotiated to be repaired by the purchaser. Nothing else was damaged as a result of that incident. Other than that, there are a few minor scratches on the exterior and the spring for the cover that goes over the ashtray in the middle consul is broke but still works just fine with no cosmetic issue visible.
