I am the Emergency Management Officer for a rural fire department. I needed a vehicle to use while my department vehicle was being ordered and upfitted. I purchased this vehicle at auction. It is a former Fire Chief’s vehicle in the Houston metro area. It had sustained flood damage during Hurricane Harvey. The vehicle had been rehabilitated prior to my purchase. It has a flood branded Texas title. It has a full vehicle lighting package from Whelan. This vehicle will be sold with some radio equipment installed. It has the following: Motorola APX 7500 Dual Band Radio (VHF / 800mhz) Moto Model Number: M30TSS9PW1AN Motorola 02 Control Heads – There is one in the front console, and two in the rear command box. The vehicle was configured to run two of these radio systems, thus the two sets of antenna and three control heads. The value of the radio equipment alone is $4500.00. I will also provide the purchaser with the current version of Motorola CPS so that you can program the radio. The purchaser may need to have the radio serviced by their local Motorola dealer to reset it back to factory settings. In addition to the installed radio, the truck also has the Motorola charging cup for the APX handheld (Series 6000/7000/8000) radios. This vehicle also is equipped with the Opticom system for preempting intersection lighting. It has the IR emitter on the push bumper, and in the center of the overhead light bar. This is a public safety restricted item. If the buyer is not with a public safety agency, this item will be disabled prior to transport. Wireless Backup Camera Both headlight lenses were replaced recently. Recent Oil Change Tires: Brand new OEM Goodyear pursuit rated tires were installed at 67,292 miles. They have just over two thousand miles of use, and are like new. I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle across the country. It runs and drives as expected. No transmission slippage. No overheating with continued idling. I am not in the vehicle transportation business. So you are welcome to fly in and drive it home, or arrange for transport. I am more than happy to assist the transport driver with pickup. Issues: This vehicle was in service with a fire department from 2011 until 2017 when it was flooded. It is reasonable to assume that the vehicle has some wear and tear. As evident by the photos, the driver seat is showing wear at the seam. The driver side passenger door has several door dings. When the decision was made to remove the vehicle from service, the fire department removed their markings. From this, there are a number of places along panel edges where the paint has flaked off. I am not a huge fan of Chevrolet’s commercial vehicle paint process. Even on my new Suburban, the paint is damaged by things as simple as bug strikes. The markings were removed with a heat gun, and in doing so, some damage was done to the taillight lenses. I intended to replace them, but never got around to it. The lenses run about $60 each. This vehicle is set up to be a Chief"s / Command vehicle. It is ready to find a new home. Please don"t hesitate to ask questions.
