Vehicle description
Hello,
I"m selling my 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Garage kept, no accidents, everything works, regular Mobil 1 synthetic oil / Bosch filter changes every ~3000 miles, rust free, clear/clean title in hand. Comes with two keys, original manual and pamphlets. It is the Grand Touring trim, Liquid Silver Metallic color, with PRHT (Power Retractable Hard Top), 6 spd. manual transmission. It does not have the Premium/Sports package. I had originally planned on keeping it forever as my "trophy" car, but plans changed and I needed more cargo space, so I bought a new Mazda 3 instead. Convertible weather just started and this car is perfect with the added safety and convenience of the power hard top!
I"m the second owner. The original couple that owned it only had it for about 2 years and put 4,800 miles on it. I bought it through them and have had it for the last 5 years or so, and it is now at 30,100 miles. In my possession, the car has never thrown a trouble light/code, and has never failed to start. Nothing mechanical or electrical has needed repairs. The engine oil level remains at the same level after 3000 miles so it doesn"t burn any oil. I do have some modifications to the car, it is what a lot of miata owners consider to be the "essential" mods for this generation miata. I"ve listed them below, along with some goodies that come with it:
Modifications: -Flyin Miata Suspension Package Stage 2 (flyinmiata.com). About 5000 miles on these, the car rides much better than OEM. It resists bottoming out, and holds the body motions down while not being overly stiff. Sort of like an OEM sports package from BMW. -ECU Tune by Jay at TDR (tdr-mx5tuning.com). If I remember correctly, this was done about 2 summers ago. This was a minor power bump, mostly for improved driveability/torque curve and throttle response. -Precision alignment (Was done at Camber Toe of Long Island after suspension install, and have copy of settings) -SmartTop Module (good-win-racing.com)
Additionals that come with the car: -Extra set of winter wheels+tires (Still about 80% tread left). -OEM wheels are plastidipped black but can easily be peeled off to reveal original finish. Comes with nearly new set of Hankook Ventus V12 tires (Only about 3000 miles on them) -Osram Rallye 65W low beam bulbs (Brightest halogen bulbs you can safely run) -Weathertech mats -I have Mobil 1 oil and a Bosch filter for the next oil change.
The bad: -Several years ago someone decided it was a great idea to make one long scratch along the passenger side of my car. It was claimed by insurance and professionally repaired. To this day I see no degradation or color mismatch between the original/new paint. You can see for yourself in the pictures. -About a year ago, while parked overnight at a friend"s place, a metal pole in a garbage can tipped over onto the driver"s side of the car and left a nice nickel sized dent on the rear quarter panel. It has not been repaired but it shows no sign of rust/corrosion so I left it. I"ve gotten quotes to repair at professional shops for about $425-$450.
All in all, the car has been well maintained. I"ve always warmed the car up before driving off, and kept the car as clean as I could including hosing off any grime on the underside of the car when possible. With some cleaning, the interior is pretty much in new condition. The exterior is also in good shape, paint is smooth and shiny, although it does have some wear and tear here and there from over the years being in a NYC. Let me know if you have any questions.
