Vehicle description
Up for sale is my AWD 2010 Ford Escape. This SUV has been a sturdy, all-weather reliable vehicle for me for over a year. I purchased it from my dad, who had it for years and bought it used from a dealership at 53,719 miles. We have both taken great care of the vehicle, kept it clean and saved all paper records of regular maintenance and repairs. Overall, this Ford is in very good shape. Through snow storms, rain showers, and all kinds of weather conditions, I have had such great experience with this vehicle running strong and safe. It is good on inspection until May 2020.
In just this year (2019) it has gotten an entirely new exhaust, complete front brakes, 2 new motor mounts, replaced air filter and water pump, replaced throttle body, fuel injection flush, fixed canister purge control valve, and wheel bearing. Plus regular oil changes throughout ownership. I have the receipts for all service, done at the same, trusted auto mechanic. The Ford runs better and smoother than when I bought it from my dad, due to extensive repairs made.
The only minor issues are cosmetic, with some light interior and exterior wear. Mechanically sound. One light appears on the dash now and again, the ‘check tire’ light simply due to old sensors on the vehicle. (Mechanic says these cost $90 per tire if this is an issue for you.) Tires are otherwise good, filled, and easy to check occasionally.
The A/C presently does not work, due to an issue with the compressor pump that we chose not to repair because of personal preference as other more vital repairs were needed. Although, the air still runs through the fans, just not cold. All windows are working perfectly, and the heat works great in the winter time.
We recently installed a new stereo system that has bluetooth, spotify, pandora and iheartradio capabilities, as well as a USB Port for charging.
I am selling due to my commute for work, I am looking for something with better gas mileage.
(Mileage on the vehicle will go up as this is still my daily driver until I get something new.)
With continual care and regular maintenance, this Ford Escape will continue to run like a champ.
