Vehicle description
2008 F350 Lariat 6.4 Diesel 4x4. No Reserve! Somebody is going to walk away with one heck of a truck. Looks almost completely stock. . but here is the good stuff. . AFE intake
Mini Maxx tuner ATS tranmission and torq converter (I think it was like $5-6k) Eaton Tru-Track rear end ARP Head Studs ARP Head Gaskets Forged and Ceramic coated pistons Air bags on the rear axles, (however the air compressor recently stopped working) Spray in bedliner Tri-Fold tonneau cover Extra tuner, (Spartan) Obviously DPF & EGR deleted
This truck will go pretty much forever. The 6.4"s have had some issues with head gaskets, and transmissions. .And both have been "bullet proofed" on this truck. Also, I put new tires 2 months ago.
Like I said, somebody is going to get one heck of a truck. I realize I will never get out of it what I put into it. Between the engine work/trans/rear end/tuners, that is probably $15k I spent. All of that was put on at about 100,000 miles.
Issues with the truck- 1.) Dented rear tail gate (see pic) 2.) Scratch on driver door (see pic) 3.) Air compressor for the air bags stopped working, needs to be replaced, or use external compressed air 4.) A few small dents here and there from normal use 5.) The chrome running boards has some pitting/tarnishing
No rust, never in an accident, never smoked in.
The reason I have 2 tuners is. . The Spartan makes great power, way better MPG, BUT. .It does not have the ability to "defuel" when the EGT"s get too hot. The temps spike very quickly, and sometimes people borrow my truck. .I didn"t want them to melt my turbos, so I bought the Mini-Maxx. It still makes good power, not as much black smoke, and not as good as MPG. But it will defuel, and it is a wise idea for the protection of the engine/exhaust components.
About the extreme duty trans/torque converter; it locks hard. Which is a good thing, but if this is your first high performance diesel, you should be aware of that.
I"m sad to sell this truck, but I"ve had it since new, and it was time for a new one.
Note, the vehicle history report may show 2 owners, but that is just because I had the truck titled to my business, and I re-titled it to me personally, thus showing the title change.
On Feb-17-18 at 08:35:33 PST, seller added the following information: I didn"t keep all the service records. However, I do have the invoice that shows the engine rebuild, done in July 2015, at 103xxx miles. This is when the engine was rebuilt with new heads, ARP Gaskets, ARP headstuds, new bearings, and forged pistons.
Everything on this truck is as good working condition. If you win the auction, you may call the shop that did all the work. The shop will verify everything I"m telling you.
