2007 Volkswagen Beetle CONVERTIBLE OPTION PACKAGE 1.
Vehicle runs and drives well. New Battery [Sams Club - Duracell - February 2021] Tires-Good Tread. AC Works. Powered Convertible Top. Fabric for the top Recently Replaced. Powered Windows-all work.
Issues: Main concern are the headlight canisters. The headlight bulbs are installed in a canister system that slides into the main body of the car on the right & left sides. At times, the connections have come loose and the cannister has to be re-positioned back into place. This is a common issue with the New Beatle models, 2005 to 2009 in particular.
Windshield: The windshield has a circular crack around the passenger side of the windshield.
O2 Sensor: The Engine Light occasionally will come on. Checking with an OBM unit, the O2 Sensor is due for a replacement.
Stereo: The prior owner installed an aftermarket audio unit [Boss] to have Bluetooth capability. The unit does not properly fit in the receiver slot. This system was working when I purchased this vehicle last July. It recently stopped working - you can hear audio "noise", but no clear sound. Personally, I would obtain an original unit from a salvage yard or and replace it. There is an audio-jack original to the vehicle below the dash that would probably work with an original unit, then utilize a Bluetooth adaptor to the jack or such.
Location: The vehicle is kept in a garage and is located about 30 miles Southwest of Houston, Texas off of US 59 in Richmond.
If purchasing with a Cashier"s Check, it would be preferable if the check could come from a Bank of America Branch. Other major banks that are in my area are Region"s Bank, Chase, Citibank and Wells Fargo. Credit Union that is on the SHARE network is another Cashier Check Option. Otherwise, preference for payment via ESCROW.com.
