Vehicle description
2006 Pontiac Solstice, Number 318 of the First 1000 Manufactured.
We bought the Solstice in 2006 from John D Sauder Auto Company. It had 504 miles on it when we bought it. So that makes us the second owners. The car was in mint condition when we bought it. It is very close to mint now. The car was babied and garage kept. I was 56 when I bought the car. I always wanted a little roadster and my husband liked it too! The trunk is small but two golf bags do fit in it! We still love the car and we still drive it but it is a luxury that we are willing to do without now. We are retired and do not want the upkeep of three cars. We are living leaner and still having fun. It"s time for someone else to have fun with this beautiful car.
The car was recalled for safety recall #14063. The ignition switch may move out of the run position, resulting in a partial loss of electrical power and turning off the engine. We had this repaired at John D Sauder Auto Company. It took them over six months to fix this. Very frustrating and dangerous! It was a big recall but it should have been more of a priority with the dealers.
We have always gotten the oil checked and changed on time. We even built a garage for it.
There is a small thin scratch on the back of the car on the trunk. There is one very small dent on the hood. I really don"t know how that happened and didn"t even notice it right away. Otherwise, it is very excellent. I tried to take a picture of it, but it doesn"t show up. It looks like a reflection. It is a very small indentation. We always kept in the garage and parked it in the "no dinger zone" of parking lots. The remote key fobs do not work anymore. The dealer said it would cost us $350.00 to get new ones so we are doing without for now. We have maintained it over the years. We like to keep our vehicles in good shape. It"s better to keep up with them than try to fix everything later.
The convertible top looks grey in some of the pictures because of the sunlight. It is black and in very good condition.
Let us know if you have any questions. The car is inspected and we do drive it about 140 miles every week.
You will have to arrange pick up if your purchase the car.
Thanks for looking!
