Vehicle description
Beautiful, well maintained, documented, and sorted Maserati Gransport LE. If you"ve been looking, this is the one.
I"m happy to provide more information about what a Gransport LE is, Maserati Coupé - Wikipedia , but my hopes are that if you found it, you already know what it is. Apparently there are "bad ones" out there if you believe what you read on the internet by posters who have never owned one. . this is most certainly not a "bad one", if they truly even exist. It has been an absolute trouble free joy to own and drive. The F1 transmission is incredibly spirited and fun to drive, the car sounds amazing and the fit and finish is superb. It has never been a daily driver, and was owned by 2 Ferrari collectors before me.
The Gransport LE is rare and was only offered at the end of the run in 2006. It is identified by the Maserati Fender Badges (bolted on metal, not stickers) and a hand stitched leather headliner. They also eliminated the pervious troublesome "tech cloth" in these cars and opted for full leather dash and seats.
In addition to being an incredibly nice and original Gransport, it comes with a couple bonuses:
-The original owner added a Fab Speed Exhaust/X-pipe to match it"s tone closer to his Ferrari F430 Spyder. I"m not one for straying from spec, but this upgrade was worth it. No engine lights and all accessories including baffles still work as they should, turn sport off and this car is as quite as a Toyota. It was done right.
-I had the car completed detailed with a Ceramic Pro lifetime finish and replaced the original owner"s clear bra with new Xpel on the front bumper, side skirts and wheel arches ($3k). Comes with wash, detailer, etc. Ceramic is all it is cracked up to be and then some, the shine is indescribably good from someone who has tried every premium product on the planet. .Griots, Zanio, Blackfire, etc.
-The sticky button syndrome was completely addressed by a Ferrari specialist including the seatbacks and vents. Small dash vent surrounds were also professionally re-chromed at this time (as they are prone to flake).
-Factory Maserati soft car cover ($400) and Maserati sunglasses ($250) are also included
-Ctek Maserati Battery tender installed, just plug in when you get home
-Maintenance is up to date and 20k mile service was performed (all fluids, valve gaskets, plugs, etc) by Maserati of St. Petersburg with 67% clutch remaining reading at that time. Next service is due in February of 2022, maintenance since day one documented up until that point.
Comes with all original books, etc. Too much to list. Happy to answer any questions.
As a collector, I hold cars to an incredibly high standard. This car has been in several very prestigious shows and was very well received. If you got out the microscope, you"d could probably find a couple nicks and tiny scratches that were addressed prior to the ceramic coat but as presented today, it looks amazing. You won"t find any of the more common blemishes you typically find on non-collector owner cars however, like my number one pet peeve, bolster wear. There is a dance to get in an out of collector cars to avoid this and this car"s seats look better than some I"ve seen at the dealership. No button wear, curb rash and you can eat off the engine. Original floor mats are protected and in new condition underneath aftermarket logo"d mats.
20k miles, still being driven sparingly until sold. I don"t have to sell and I am confident my pricing is fair. If there is such thing as a supercar bargain, this is it.
As a side note, one picture shows this car next to a 2019 Granturismo MC. I have had the pleasure of enjoying both side to side and can tell you from experience, the Gransport is absolutely a better car in every way (fit, finish, performance, quality, etc.) except one, being a daily driver. The Gransport was Maserati"s last jab at it"s rival Ferrari before Fiat repurposed them as a pure luxury brand. Maybe the MC-20 will get them back on track? Spec wise, it will be the best preforming car they built since this car in 2006.
If you want a daily driver/grocery getter that turns heads. Get the Granturismo. The Gransport is a Ferrari with backseats and much like a Ferrari, it"s design leans towards an enthusiast over day to day livability. The Grantursimo has cup holders, need I say more lol. Not to say the Gransport can"t be a daily, many have done such and have gotten past a 100k miles doing so, just not what I would do with it. Limited miles for weekend smiles has been it"s purpose to date. A week without it makes that next drive all that more special.
