Vehicle description
Description: I am selling my beloved 2006 HondaS2000 (AP2). * *NOTE: This is the 2nd time I am listing because the original buyer wasn"t able to complete their transaction.* *
This very hard to find 2.2 Liter, 237hp Naturally Aspirated inline 4 cylinder engine is known for it"s high revving, screaming in high rev tone and built with Honda reliability.
It is one of the only Rear Wheel Drive cars designed by Honda here in North America. (Spec sheet can befound here ( https:/ hondanews.com/en-US/releases/release-5a35f67b82f245d1db31c6004c34c121-2006-honda-s2000-specifications )
Here is a Youtube video describing this car(https:/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=njEtOuOmAwA).
As someone who has driven plenty of cars, I have NEVER found a car that feels like this while driving. I feel connected to the road, ready to tear up the corners. This car absolutely feels like an adult go cart. Insanely quick steering, "feeling connected" to the road and ready to whip a U-Turn on a moments notice!
Trying to find one of these cars today that hasn"t been clapped out with "fart" cans, cheap turbos, or poorly maintained is near impossible. Below are the details.
ALLPHOTOS (80 total): CLICKHERE Engine(F22C1): Completely OEM, down to the oil filter. I am unaware if the air filter was a cone filter from the factory, see the pictures for details. Interior: Completely stock. Radio has been swapped out for a Bluetooth/Wireless factory integrated option(previous owner) but the car does come with the stock radio as well. Exterior: Stock paint color and comes included with the rear convertible cover (tonneau cover). Unaware if this is factory or aftermarket. I have not installed it. Owner History: I purchased the car about 1.5 year ago and have since put on ~3560 miles. I purchased this car, sight unseen, from a local used car dealer down in southern Florida and had the car shipped to me. (This car is currently located in Jacksonville, FL (north Florida)).
I was unaware that the clear coat was faded but I did have a family owned/operated body shop(https:/ midwaypaint.com/) clear coat what I could afford at the time, with the intention to having the rest of the car clear coatedsoon after. (I am selling it before that plan could be fully executed). I garage the car now but it was kept outside while I needed my garage space for a repair on a different vehicle.
I do not know the history or upkeep from the previous owners. The service manual shows entries for the first 5000 miles, but no entries after that. I am selling the car because I have 1 too many.
I purchased a set of rear tires for the car (again see picture) after running over a nail. General tires isowned by parent company Continental Tires and these tires have been great. The tires are less than 1 year old but do NOT match the front tires, which is technically a "no no" accordingly to purists. Flaws/Age of car: Keep in mind, this car is 15 years old and is far from a "show car". The "flaws" are all cosmetic.
Clear Coat is fading (see pictures). I have tried to continue to wax the car, but this will likely want to be address with either a vinyl wrap or a clear coat of the entire car.
Interior driver side door card (see pictures). I checked with my local Honda dealership and they weren"t able to order it so this will likely need to be found from a salvage yard, 2nd hand or repaired.
"Knicks" in steering wheel (see pictures). Not sure what this is from, but when I bought the car, this was something I was unaware of. Doesn"t change the driving experience for me.
Black "rubberized" trim around windshield (see pictures). There appears to be a "shrink tube" rubberized coating between the windshield and window frame of the car. Because this car was stored outside in southern Florida. It has started to crack/peel. It looks like the paint is protected still from a clear film underneath the rubberized "wrap".
"Knick" in on back ofdriver seat (see pictures). Again, this was new to me upon arrival. It looks like the previous owner had the seat so far back that it rubbed against some hardware.
