I am sadly selling my dream car - perfect option, well cared for E60 M5.
My brother purchased this M5 in January of 2015 with 68,683 miles. I purchased it from him in the fall of 2015, but was transferred overseas for work last year. I will now be here for the foreseeable future so have decided to sell.
We wanted an M5 without fear of engine failure or looming transmission issues that plague these cars. As with most, these failed and luckily it was covered by CPO and an aftermarket warranty that replaced the entire motor and authorized over $40,000 in repairs and maintenance during its coverage (all done by BMW dealer). The motor was done at 66k miles. Vanos was done at 64k. Clutch was done at 62k. A very comprehensive service was done at 60k. Thus, you won"t have to worry about rod bearing failure, SMG issues, and other issues which have been addressed. The Carfax is clean and all of the service and history events are comprehensively documented on VINwiki.
The car is Silver Gray over Silverstone with exactly the right option configuration - everything except extended leather (which frequently shrinks around the HUD), and no ventilated seats (perforations cause premature wear). It has SMG, Active Seats, Heated Seats, Heads Up Display, Comfort Access (keyless unlocking and starting), split/folding rear seats, etc. The original MSRP was $90,440 and a full DCS report is included.
It was just serviced at United BMW and all records are included. The only semi-major maintenance issue in the last 2 years was replacing an alternator. Car has books and two keys.
