Vehicle description
Item Relisted due to non-communicative buyer. 2005 Volvo T5 AWD, turbo, leather interior, sunroof. The good: Cold AC, strong motor, during the last year I have had installed a new water pump, new timing belt, new lower radiator hose, and newer tires (2 years old), w/ good tread, fresh oil change, clean car fax. The bad: (1) Antifreeze is slowly being burned and about once every three months I need to fill the antifreeze overflow bottle (warning light comes on if you forget to add antifreeze). (2) The sunroof drain was clogged and the drivers side rear footwell had sitting water. Since the drain clog was fixed there was a lot of rain here in Florida and the sitting water issue happened once more (only on this occasion since the drain was fixed 5 months ago). If the car sits with the windows up in the hot sun there is a slight moisture smell. If driven daily, this isn’t very noticeable. (3) The check engine light is on and the engine at times will idle rough. Other times the car runs smoothly. The mechanic thinks the antifreeze burn may be related to this issue but has not found the problem. (4) The “Reduced Engine Performance” light just started to appear (off and on, depending on the day), the mechanic states a fuel pressure regulator replacement would stop this issue (5) The headliner is in good condition except the sunroof section which I used headliner adhesive to fix. (6) Leather damage as shown in the pictures of the drivers side rear door w/ the leather liner pulling off and of the front passenger seat leather being stained from the mechanics tools/oil leaking on the seat.
The Volvo was driven across country from Maryland to Florida and still drives strong. The car looks great, but is not in perfect.
