Up for sale is my 2005 Subaru Forester XT 5 speed MANUAL. Fully loaded with heated leather seats and panoramic sunroof. I searched far and wide for a stock, original, one owner Forester XT manual. I wanted to buy it off a one owner but the biggest thing was to have it RUST FREE. Looked at multiple on the East Coast and obviously rust in always an issue. I bought this car from Texas, never seen salt or snow and I continued that trend as well. This is my 6th vehicle that I own so it was not driven often. My work commute consists of 550 miles a week. I would drive this car once or twice a week to work if that. Since I owned, I bought the car with 105,440 miles. I always changed the oil religiously with Shell Rotella T6. I did a K&N drop in filter, both Hub bearings in the rear. One was starting to make a noise, so I am the type of guy that replaces both because i"m very thorough with all my vehicles. The timing belt and water pump were done by previous owner. I did front and rear brakes, I put Turn In Concepts Holy Shift kit, which comes with all new bushings front and rear and a linkage update for a tighter feel for shifting. I put a Short Throw Shifter in as well. I did a brand new STI Sway Bar and new bushing all OEM to keep that "Subaru" feel, Also did Whiteline sway bar clamps. It made a nice difference in handing and body roll. I ended getting WRX suspension out of an 07 and then I had my alignment done to WRX specs. I put on Cosmos Racing rims wrapped in 235/40/18 Hancook tires in excellent condition (no curbing) with titanium lug nuts. Car still comes with stock wheels and tires and suspension . Car has a new battery. A/C blows ice cold.
Without being biased, the exterior of the car is a solid 8.5/10 for a 13 year old car with 120k on it. I get compliments on it all the time. The interior of the car is 9.5/10 with NO rips or tears in the leather. Carpets are Clean., no stains.
Whether it"s this car or all my other vehicles, maintenance gets done thoroughly and right. If I am putting my son or daughter in the car, I want it to be safe and reliable as this Subaru is. Reason for selling it is I just do not use it enough and I want someone else to enjoy it.
