Vehicle description
This is a garage kept, very clean condition 2005 Mercedes 4Matic( All Wheel Drive). Body on the outside is near perfect condition - all paint is original. Interior is very clean -with some minor wear on drivers side door jamb area where the leather has some cracking on the arm rest by the door (not significant).
The Good:
No accidents. Clean, straight, tight car.
Engine has had regular oil changes and services and has been gently driven and cared for. It idles smooth and quiet. The Transmission shifts very smoothly and quietly. Feels like a 40k mile car when you drive it.
Suspension is quiet and firm. Steering feels good and right.
The car just had a new AC compressor installed on it , along with new belts , water pump, and coolant reservoir ( these were showing signs of age and it was recommended to be replaced).
The 4 tires on it are Michelin Premier tires with about 75-80% tread left on them.
No leaks. No check engine lights.
The Odd:
Car was imported from Germany to Canada originally . It has been in California for the last 4 -5 years, and is US Emissions certified and passes California emissions inspection requirements.
The car shows very minor superficial , if any, signs of rust (just a very thin white residue) on it on select parts of the larger surface areas in the engine compartment ( a simple engine wash would literally wash it off) , none of the bolts show any signs of rust or contamination and the undercarriage is completely clean and has never been detailed- just regular car washes.
The speedometer reads in kilometers but all other digital displays , including the odometer is set in miles.( The speedometer is easy to figure out after a while - 100 km/hr is approximately 60 miles/hr.)
The Imperfect:
The two front fog lights have broken glass.
Some light bulbs will need replacement ( center - third brake light, turn signal lamp bulb of left side rearview mirror, front left headlight low beam is starting to go out)
Front brakes will need to be replaced right about now.
Overall the car is in great looking and driving condition, and is the really nice driving 4matic .The main work will be the brakes that will be needed asap so has been priced accordingly ( or more then fairly -if you look at what the 2005 c series 4 matics are going for and the kbb value).
I would say this is a really reliable car and almost comparable to any Japanese car except for little things that go out once in a while like lightbulbs etc, but then when you get to enjoy a really smooth and comfortably quiet car like this at the price of a similar year model Corolla, my choice would definitely be this C240 Mercedes.
Note* * Will help with shipping if you are planning to have it transported. * *All sales are final. * * You are welcome to have the car inspected before purchase and I have tried to explain as much as possible every aspect of the condition of the car clearly. You are welcome to ask questions and I will respond promptly. Also miles might change slightly as the car is currently being driven.
